‘There are countless hilarious, talented female writers currently producing great work. If existing prizes won't honour funny women writers fairly, it's time to set up a new prize.'

A VERY SHORT(list) Announcement!

Ladies and gentlewomen – please put on your readers and hands in your lap to glimpse the deliberations of the CWIP judges.  These five Published and five Unpublished novels offer you a range of territory, style and comedy.  The longlist did that also – as well as that novel you are writing currently – but a list has to be a list and we are proud to have got to our first one.  We shone a light on funny female fiction.  More please.

Guess which comment applies to which book if you like – innovative, laugh out loud moments, bold, irreverence, individuality, tragicomedy, queer, wry, cross cultural wit, connecting…

Click on each book and all will be revealed.
