The competition is open to any woman, writing in the English language, of any nationality over the age of 18 on the closing date 23 May 2025.

Works submitted must be Published Comedy Novels, written in English and published in the UK and Ireland between 15 October 2022 and 23 May 2025.

 

Criteria for entry

 

• Any woman over the age of 18 on 23 May 2025

• Written in English

• Published in the UK and Ireland

• Book must be published in first physical format between 15 October 2022 and 23 May 2025

• Book must be comedic in style or content, although a wide range of witty and funny styles of comedy will be considered

• Submission must be made by the book’s publisher using the form linked to below

• Self-published titles are not eligible for this prize category, see our Self-Published category.

• A PDF and two copies of the novel to be provided at the first submissions stage, additional copies may be required if the book is shortlisted

• In light of the current economic environment and the impact this has had on numerous book prizes, CWIP will require a £35 entry fee from the publisher for each book entered. After submitting your entry/ies we will be in touch to invoice you accordingly. However, if you feel this cost will prohibit the entry on behalf of your author, then please do let us know/get in touch to discuss.

• In the event of being successfully selected as a longlisted novel, to offset some of the processing costs, £100 will be required from the publisher and a further £100 for shortlisted entries.

• In the event of being successfully selected as a shortlisted novel, artwork is provided by CWIP for the publisher to use for ongoing copies. Artwork will also be provided for the winning novel. 
   

After entry, please send a PDF of the comedy novel to hello@comedywomeninprint.co.uk and send 2 physical copies of the nominated novel to:
